| Diisopropyl ether is an important intermediate for composing organism and industrial solvent. It is widely used in medicine, baccy, chemical industrial combination and so on. Nowadays it is badly demanded in China, but it mainly depends on importation. There are two ways to product diisopropyl ether. One is hydration of acetone, and the other is catalyzing synthesis of isopropanol and propylene. In this paper the engineering design of 3000t/a diisopropyl ether equipment is studied. According to the studies we choose the second way. It includes the engineering design of diisopropyl ether's reaction and its separation. The influence of the reaction's technical conditions on the reaction is also studied in this paper, such as the reaction temperature, pressure, the mole ratio of isopropanol to propylene and the air flow rate. At the same time, the favorite operation conditions for reaction are summarized. 3000t/a diisopropyl ether equipment was modeled using Pro-â…¡ simulation software, and operation parameters, equipment size and technical flow are determined by simulation. In addition, we also investigate the design of the equipments, the protecting of environment, safety issue and economic evaluating in magnifying the project. |
