The environmental protection problem has already been mentioned as the continuable development strategy in the world. Positively exploit the natural fiber which is easy to be degraded, and it is the demand of reducing pollution and utilizing resources effectively .The hemp fiber is easy to plant, and the output is high. The product can be degraded in nature, it will not cause pollution, which conforms to the request of environmental protection and ecology.This paper utilizes jute and polypropylene fibers to laminate a jute/polypropylene fiber compound plate. The main research is the producing process of jute/polypropylene fiber compound plate, and the relations between production parameters and plate performance.The fiber compound plate can be obtained by two steps. First, the jute/polypropylene is punctured to the felt. Second, the jute/polypropylene compound felt is shaped by athermo-compressed process. In the first step, the pretreatment of jute fiber and other procedures, such as the opening, mixture, carding, and needling process are analyzed in detail. In the second step, the author specifically analyzes three main thermo-compressed procedure parameters (time temperature pressure) which will influence the performance of jute/ polypropylene compound plate. The best parameters are made out by a special mathematic method. These parameters are listed as follows: thermo-compression temperature is 166.2640℃;thermo-compression time is 3.3183min;thermo-compression pressure is 4.3365Mpa. The compound plate achieves the best performance. Tensile strength is 29.13Mpa, and bending strength is 31.95Mpa.In addition to the producing process, the paper also discusses the plate flame retardance performance, which is in order to expand the application scope of the compound plate. The flame retardance mechanism of the compound plate is analyzed , and several methods of flame retardance are discussed. The flame retardant of FR-PN-G has good flame retardance effect, therefore the best flame retardance working procedure is obtained. The density of flame retardant is 450 g/L, the time of soakage is 20min, and the number of soakage times is 2. Theperformance of the compound plate: LOI is 35.2%, char length is 40 mm, afterflame time is 0 min, afterglow time is 0 min, tensile strength is 24.95Mpa, bending strength is 30.27Mpa.
