Significant damage cases of oil pipelines frequently, affect seriously the normal oilfieldproduction order, causing enormous damage to State property. Although security testing meansunderground pipeline are variety, the use of remote infrared sensing equipment to the oilfieldground testing can effectively resolve the issue of early warning around pipelines.This paper briefly introduced the damage of the buried stealing pipelines do to theproduction and environment of the oil field nowadays and introduced the detecting methods ofburied stealing pipelines, furthermore analyzed the configuration characteristic of buriedstealing pipelines. The thermal conditions of buried stealing pipelines were evaluated. Thephysical model and mathematical model of buried stealing pipelines were established.Considering the influence of computation performance to the configuration characteristic ofburied stealing pipelines, the paper adopted structured meshes and unstructured meshes inmeshing scheme. A user define function program of periodic temperature in unsteady-stateatmosphere environment was worked out. CFD (Computational fluid dynamics) softwareworked out numerical calculation of buried stealing pipeline. The analysis of data to numericalcalculation of different seasons has laid the scientific base for later research on buried stealingpipeline in oil field.The article firstly simulates the temperature field of buried stealing pipelines by usingCFD software, using K-ε model, basing on control volume method and applying SIMPLEarithmetic. Distributing characteristic of temperature field of ground, section, thermal factor ofburied stealing pipelines were gained by numerical computation.For checking up the result of numerical simulation, experiment study of temperature fieldcharacter was completed about buried oil pipelines using infrared image equipment, at the sametime attained temperature field by simulating buried oil pipelines. The result of simulation isbasically in accordance with the experimental data, which the numerical simulation results ofburied oil pipelines are very approach to the experimental result. By comparing experiment dataand result of numerical simulation, it can be found that the comparing temperature fields ofnumerical simulation and experiment measure are basically identical in outer freedom and thecomparing temperature field result of numerical simulation and experiment measure is veryapproach. The two results prove the correctness of mathematical model and computing method.The mathematical model and computing method can accurately forecast temperature fieldof the buried stealing pipelines, which provides theory basic and experience for the study to thethermal theory and infrared image detection of buried stealing pipelines.
