The compound hydrocyclone has merit of the dynamic hydrocyclone and the statichydrocyclone. Its development has provided the new way for researching similar highlyeffective fluid-fluid separator. As one kind of splitter that the people hoped obtains highseparation efficiency in the continuous working. But the high separation efficiency needsto have a stable and reasonable flow field distribution. The vibration existence can have thecertain influence to the flow field stability. As well as selection of the operation parameteraffected separation efficiency.In order to obtain the ideal separation effect, it is necessaryto study the vibration characteristic and the stalling characteristic further excavates thepotential of equipment.This paper has firstly carried on the modal analysis of compound hydrocyclon.Itobtains modal parameter,understood inherent characteristic,get the structure the naturalfrequency,the damping,inspiring and so on its basic characteristic,grasps the vibration rulethat improve the equipment the design or the installment and eliminate or weaken theequipment the intense vi-bration, In order to provides the safeguard for the hydrocyclonestable trouble-free service.Through study the situation of before vibration reduction and after to obtain thecurrent capacity and the electric motor rotational frequency not only affects the stallingcharacteristic but also has the vibration main reason. The research indicated will reduce thecompound hydrocyclone intense vibration in order to enhance the equipment's separationefficiency.Finally to study the relations between main operation parameter (for example currentcapacity,electrical machinery rotational speed, split ratio, and so on) of the compoundhydrocyclone and separation efficiency. Through the experimental indicated that, affectsthe primary and secondary relations of the compound hydrocyclone stalling characteristicfactor is the current capacity factor, the electric motor rotational speed factor,split ratiofactor.This will provide the reliable basis for selection of the cyclone operation parameter.
