Automatic analyse and identification technology of metallography organization is a rising aspect of metallography domain and has a brightly application perspective. Its research conduces to the development of metallography technology. The research contents of this paper are as follow:Firstly, from the point of automatic identification technology of metallography organization, this paper analyzes the disadvantages of traditional metallography identification technology and points out the automatic identification technology of metallography organization by computer is the best choice to solve the problems.Secondly, when steel identification technology of metallography organization is chosen as the system research object, the architecture and resolution of automatic identification technology of metallography organization system are presented. Then discuss it from five modules of key technologies, including digital image acquisition module, digital image processing module, identification and match module, property analyse module and digital illustration database management module.Thirdly, by researching the foundation knowledge of support technology, this paper obtains the main key technologies of the system, including digital image processing, heat treatment phase transition, pattern recognition and database management. At the same time, these main key technologies are used to the system and tested them. A new identification way which is the identification of gridding similitude rate is designed.Finally, devote key technologies to the system, and test them. A system of steel automatic identification technology of metallography organization is developed to validate the research work of this paper.
