| The bauxite resources of china is abundant and most of it is diaspore, the ratio of aluminum to silicon is less seven in eighty percent bauxite. In recent years, with the exploitation and using of it , the bauxite resources become further poorly. The sintering method or the consociation method is the main producing method in china, and its energy-consuming is three or four times of Bayer method's. Comparing with other foreign countries , the differences is great and it reduces the competition ability and the continuing-development ability greatly.In the period of "nine-five", according to the characteristics of Chinese bauxite,we exploit successfully the Ore dressing-Bayer method which is adapt to alumina producing with the middling-low ratio of aluminum to silicon bauxite. The technique inaugurates a new way for utilizing our abundant and low-cost bauxite resources reasonably, and it has important realist-signification and far-reaching stratagem signification. Comparing with the raw bauxite, the preparation concentrate contains paucity of humic acid organic substance, besides it also bring in paucity of fatty acid organic substance-floating-collector in floatation. The humic acid organic substance's action, influence and changing law in Bayer process have been studied largely and profoundly understood home and abroad. But there aren't reports about action, influence and changing law of fatty acid organic substance in Bayer process. Whether the floating-collector cumulates in Bayer process, and whether it has effects on the Bayer dissolving, red mud sedimentation and sodium aluminate solution's inoculating seed decomposition is one of the focus problem which has been paid attention to by the experts of alumina industry, and it is also one of the big obstacles in the industrialization of the Ore dressing -Bayer method.In this paper, we study the long-hydricarbon chain fatty acid collector from three aspects as follow: Firstly, study the collector's influence on stripping sodium aluminate solution's physical characteristics such as viscosity, density, electric conductivity, interfacial tension; Secondly, see about the changing of digestion temperature, alkali concentration, digestion time, lime activity and additive quantity under the circumstances of collector; Thirdly, study the collector's influence on digestion mechanics by the changing of digestion-reaction apparent activation energy. From the study, we find that:1.
