The structural strength of furniture is the basic to achieving functions of products. In the framework structure of furniture, the junctures which joint furniture parts are named corner joints. The whole furniture strength is influenced by joint methods and joint strength of the corner joints greatly.Considering the production condition, we did experiments with the "panto-sense" fast growing Masson Pine wood which degreased and dried preferably. In the mechanical experiments, we took loads down straight to basic pine-wood component T-type and L-type until broken them, and then recorded the maximum strength and broken form of all components. These basic components T-type and L-type were jointed with eight kinds of joint methods, which were double dowels joints, run-through mortise and tenon joint, hidden mortise and tenon joint, screw fittings joints, double dowels and screw fittings joints, excenter fittings joints, mitred double dowels joints and hidden mitred mortise and tenon joint. In the following study, at first, we calculated the average strength of each joint method and fond the remarkable broken regularity, meanwhile the text results were analyzed and discussed in detail, at the last, we applied mechanical methods to calculate and analyzed the eight kinds of corner joints strength. The results of experiments showed that the run-through mortise and tenon joint strength was the maximum, the double dowels and screw fittings joints strength was second, the next was the double dowels joints strength , and the screw fittings joints strength and hidden mortise and tenon joints strength followed tightly, the excenter fittings joints strength was the minimum; and the results of tests also showed that the mitred double dowels joints strength was higher than hidden mitred mortise and tenon joint strength, and showed that in the same situation, the joint strength of basic component T-type was higher than the basic component L-type.Finally, the study indicats that the corner joints strength in furniture framework is affected by the basic components (T-type or L-type), joint methods of corner parts (run-straight or mitred), and the connected methods of corner joints.
