The synthesized diamond is widely applied in industry,the synthesis technology by mixed powder method of catalyst-graphite has been developing rapidly in these years. It is a critical problem that how to improve the technology much more on the base of powder technology. Foreign researchers have done enough work on excess-pressure seeding method in 80,20th, but only a few domestic researchers studied this method in some degree in past twenty years, which was on the base of disk overlapping method for synthesizing diamond and it is not so useful for prevalent powder technology.In this paper, excess-pressure seeding method is introduced in powder catalyst-graphite technology of diamond synthesizing. The object is to investigate the crystal growth mechanism of excess-pressure seeding method and analysis the industrializing prospect.The four typical kinds of diamond are selected as seeds in this experiment. Seeds are input in the system of powder catalyst-graphite evenly by adsorbing film of organic substance on the surface of diamond. The model of crystal growth by excess-pressure seeding method is built through observing and analysis the patterns of synthesis component, crystal configuration and micro-morphology.
