The development of CNC is deeply associated with Computer technology .Currently, onemainstream of CNC technology researches is to design the CNC system of open-architectureboth on hardware and software based on PC.Through the reseach of the related technologies concerning how to design the CNCsystem of open-architecture , this thesis analyzes the confronted difficulties to develop theCNC system based on PC and puts forward a practicable method to solve them. The followingis contained:1. On the hardware .The CNC servo system and main spindle diver system are developed.Furthermore, a PCI-bus card which has the functions of timer, digital input, digital output ,D/A convertion is also designed. It meets the requirement of real-time control at hardwarelevel of the CNC system .2. On the software .The key technology of the CNC system and C-tool compensation hasbeen made reseach of. The difficulty of tool compensation is solved by the method of vectorwhich advances the calculate speed and cuts down the complexity of the program. This thesiscontrasts several operate systems to develop the CNC system based on PC, and the structureof the windows operate system and a multiple plans to achieve real-time control under thecircumstance of the windows operate system have been analyzed. The problem that it is hardto apply real-time control to the windows operate system is also solved, the solution of theproblem depends on the timer-interruption hardware conjunction circuit and WDM devicedriver.3.This software can achieve the following functions: three coordinates connection motion, manufacture procedure edition and selection, hand motion, spot motion, simulation motion, automation motion, manufacture trace showing and so on.Finally, the author concludes his research work and predicts the possible trend of thedevelopment of the CNC system of open-architecture.
