This thesis introduces how to design and implement the Make-Mark Control System using the open CNC technologies based on Windows platform.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the current situation and development of numerical control technologies at home and abroad. The CNC system will be high-speed, ultra-precision, based on PCs networked and Open-Architecture in the future. Considering the need of the CNC technologies' development and the actuality of hardware and software of the subject, this thesis divides the system into hardware part and software part for the development of the system.The main goal of hardware part designing is to make the most of the existing hardware devices (such as: PCs, Make-Mark machines, Drivers, PCI photoelectric isolated card) in the new system. Here, the special method will be designed for the alterations of PCI photoelectric isolated card.Concerning the design of software part, according to the comparative analysis of three most important typical structures (OMAC , OSEC and OSACA) in the international NC field today, based on the OMAC model, the Open Make-Mark Control System constructs its own software model and achieves this system. In the process of the system implementation, some key technical issues in this system are deeply analyzed and researched. The main achievements are made below: In the data processing, this system uses an optimum method. This method can save memory resources and speed up the processing, therefore, it improves the efficiency of making- mark. In terms of the real-time control, under the base of not using other hardware and analyzing and comparing the running effect of various methods for real-time control in the Windows platform, this system applies WDM technologies with the Windows kernel, which can achieve the high precision machining. In terms of the multi-thread, this system has six threads, which are main thread, user management threads data management threads compiling threads making-mark thread and delay control thread. Through the synchronization and coordination among these threads, the process of making-mark is achieved.The Open Make-Mark Control system has been tested and checked in the production practice. The result was satisfactory.
