With the fast industrialization in recent years, the discharge of organic wastewater increased rapidly in China. Environment pollution has become a critical problem. Particularly those wastewater containing high contents of organic pollutants poses serious threats to human health due to its low biodegradability. Although traditional wastewater treatment technologies can readily reduce organic contents in effluent and thus improve its quality, they often encounter difficulties when applied in the treatment of wastewater with high organic contents. Therefore studies on the treatment of wastewater with high concentration organic pollutants are one of the hot topics in environmental science and engineering.Electrochemistry, as a wastewater treatment technique, usually goes by the name of clean treatment method because of its features, including low consumption of chemicals, small equipment bulk, little land occupancy, simple and flexible operation, minimal sludge volume, and simple later treatment. As a result, along with the hotspot of wastewater treatment related to organic wastewater treatment, the catalytic oxidation of electrochemistry will become the focus of organic wastewater disposal. This paper includs the following two aspects:1) Studies on catalytic oxidation of simulating organic wastewater with Ti/PbO2 electrode. The oxide film of commercial Ti is removed, with 3% of HF pretreated, and then Ti is eroded by 10% of HF. Finally the conditions of electro-deposition are 0.5mol/L PbNO3, 0.005mol/L Fe3+ and pH=1-2. With the self-made Ti/PbO2 electrolysis, the experiments have been made. It indicates: NaNO3, as electrolyte, has more obvious advantages. And the concentration of NaNO3 is 10g/L-15g/L (mass percentage about 1.0%-1.5%). The nature of the solution is one of the important effects of catalytic oxidation of electrolysis. The effect of COD removal in acid or alkaline solution is more...
