Electromagnetic forming is a kind of high-energy-rate forming technology, in which the pressure induced by impulse magnetic field is used to form metal work piece. It can be applied in the fields of aerospace, automobile manufacture and so on. The electromagnetic forming has developed for more than forty years. However the theoretic findings of electromagnetic forming are still not effective enough to instruct the actual forming process. There is deep-research of pressure in tube forming. But the knowledge of the rule of load distribution in electromagnetic forming with flat spiral coil is sill in the level of experimental investigation and qualitative analysis. There is still no objective theoretical analysis and practical process calculation about it.In this the thesis, the characteristics of the magnetic field in electromagnetic forming with flat spiral coil are discussed field. ANSYS software is used to simulate the magnetic field and magnetic pressure in it. The distribution of the magnetic pressure in electromagnetic forming with flat spiral coil is obtained. According to the results, the characteristics of it in electromagnetic forming with flat spiral coil are followings: Distribution of the magnetic pressure is non-uniform along the direction of radius. The tendency is decided by both the structure of coil and relative size of sheet metal and coil. The main reason is that the relative size of sheet metal and coil is different and effective coverage of induced current is different which result in different magnetic field.Magnetic deformation process of sheet material conical parts simulated with the FEA software Dynaform. The result indicates that due to the relative size of sheet metal and coil is small scale then axial magnetic pressure in sheet material end is big .So sheet material end is priority deformation .With the increasing of deformation time the part of priority deformation draw other parts deformation .When the load-time is end due to inertia sheet material is still deformation until material sheet contact with punch. In the thesis, conical parts electromagnetic forming experiments are discussed in detail. And based on the experiments, the affect of forming energy, sheet material diameter, sheet thickness, die taper and the impulse current...
