Research On Multi-Function Micro Electrical Machining Pulse Power Supply

The micro energy pulse power supply is the essential component of micro EDM and ECM, whose performance directly determines various techniques machining. Therefore, it is always the important thing for researchers on micro electrical machining.With the development of the science and technology, people have more requests for the capability of this kind of product. To improve the precision of machining and assembling the work piece, the multi-functional micro electrical machining machine tool, being similar to the machine center, has gained the favor of people. So the micro energy pulse power supply in the flexible manufacture center should also have the multi-functional characteristics adapting to the multi-processing technics.This thesis introduces the current domestic and overseas development state and trend in the pulse power supply of EDM and ECM. By analyzing the charging process of power-storing capacitance of RC circuit pulse power supply and the composition of single pulse discharging energy, this thesis researches the feasible approach to decrease and control the discharging energy of single pulse, and processes the improving designs for RC circuit pulse power supply. Here designs one new type multi-functional micro electrical machining pulse power supply.The load voltage of this power supply is supplied by digital silicon control AC electrical controller. The voltage and other machining parameters can be adjusted conveniently on certain range by man-machine interface. Aiming at the diverse technics characters of micro EDM and ECM, This thesis designs the different main circuit of current-limiting and inspecting circuit of gap status, taking the SCM and CPLD as the control center and pulse generator to control the circuit switching, volume of energy-storing capacitance, on and off of parallel connection main circuit in different machining manners. Here also designs individual voltage-controlling circuit to control the discharging gap voltage, and improve the compatibility of the circuit from multi-facet.This power supply by debugging on-line and taking some technical experiments, the results show that the design of power supply is feasible.
