Liquid membrane separation technology was introduced at 1960's. Because the extraction and back-extraction are taken place in same reactor batch simultaneously in this process, it is simplified, and mass transfer is thus enhanced. These inherent prominent advantages of liquid membrane separation method result in a wide application in many fields such as waste water treatment, wet metallurgy, petrochemical, biomedicine etc.The mineral resource of world is faced with the problem of impoverishment now. Comprehensive utilization becomes more and more important in the process of mineral exploitation. It is urgent now to utilize mineral resource multiply and advance the technology of recycle and reutilization.Usually in wetted chemical process the valuable components in ores are concentrated and phase separated by proper extraction agent after being solved in strong acid or base solution. The extraction agent could almost be complex organic, such as chelate, surfacant compound.In this project the new technology, liquid membrane separation, will be tried to be applied in the wetted chemical process to accomplish the separation and enrichment of the metal ion impurities.
