With many advantages, including low specific gravity;high specific strength,specific rigidity,damping capacity,process ability;excellent thermal conductivity,electromagnetic shielding and recyclability, magnesium alloys are considered as eco-structural metal material in the 21st century and interest many researchers. Because of excellent properties by the application of heat treatment and the control of compositions wrought alloy should be the brightest star in terms of long-term potential applications. The wrought products such as plate,stick,pipe etc can feed a variety of different needs. But basic investigation on magnesium and magnesium alloys isn't insufficient and it's application isn't abroad because of the study time of magnesium and magnesium alloys isn't long, the production of magnesium alloys still has many matters. The exploitation of magnesium alloys series with excellent properties is the mostly trend currently. But it is effective way that magnesium alloys in existence are appropriately technical processed.It is a mostly way of enhancement of material's properties that material's microstructure is changed by distortion and heat treatment. The way is used in AZ80 wrought magnesium alloy in this paper. By heatly extrude the alloy take place completely dynamical recrystallize and equality fine axis grains is obtained, the mechanical properties is improved. The relation that of mechanical properties,microstructure and heat treatment is investigated in varying time of solution and aged,with strengthening theory heat treatment process of AZ80 magnesium alloy is optimized. The optimized process is that the extruded alloy is dissolved in 400℃with 2 hours in the ask of high distortion capacity and the alloy is aged in 170℃with 20 hours after it is dissolved in 400℃with 2 hours in the ask of high strength.With the heat treatment the AZ80 magnesium alloy extruded pole is already used in some military production. In the future, it will be abroadly applied in a lot of fields because of excellent properties.
