The Development Of Spin-finishes For Polypropylene Fibre On Carpet

On the base of mature recipe from our foreign partner and through abroad survey of technology, a new spin-finish for polypropylene fibre on carpet was developed according to the characterize of polypropylene fiber and the demand of the behind process.Attempted to realize to make the oil in our conntry and improve the market competition ability.In this part,the analysis processing of spin-finish for polypropylene fibre on carpet is expounded. Firstly, on the base of the separation and identification of surfactants , characterize was tested by some chemical analysis and the instrumental analysis ,pilot study is carried showing that the import spin-finishes is non-ion surfactant. After choosing the optimum separate condition, column chromatogram is used to prepare and quantitatively analyse the spin-finishes. The molecular structure of the components is decided with the method of IR, UV and ~1H NMR etc.Secondly, on the base of the analysis result of the import finish,we test and analysis the monomers. Finally,the correlation between the structure of surfactants and their properties concluding the antistatic,smoothness,soft,adhesive,heat-resistant and emulsifying properties was studied.A new recipes are designed based on the properties of the monomers and their quantity. After testing them, recipe G3 is choosed and improved by adding antistatic surfactants, new recipe G4,G5 is thus obtained;Farther,the specification and application properties of these finish were evaluated on the product line of polypropylene fibre,the result shown this finish has good comprehensive performance contrastedwith the imported finish.It can meet to the requirement of polypropylene fibre manufacture totally.
