The aim of developing this system is to build a net system for monitoring gas of coal mine. So as to provide administration of coal mine safety with a platform to supervise and administrate. It helps to enhance local manager's safety consciousness and prevent accident.The task is to design a module for transmitting real time data ,from client to server in administration of coal mine safety, and a database for storing monitoring data, and a module for managing and maintenance database, it provide a platform to users for querying ,browse or analysis monitoring data.There are two ways to get monitoring data from former system: unite communication protocol, parallel connect a serial line to obtain data from monitoring site in the coal mine; or make a real time data file by former system provider. Data transmitting module work in C/S mode, client upload data initiatively according to the fixed time , server receive passively.The system need to uninterrupted collect and store data in 24x7, and ensure security of the data, for it's premise to prevent fire damp explosion and gist of accident responsibility cognizance. We analysis overall architecture of ORACLE9i and classic theory of database ,then design a database based on ORACLE9i according to characteristic and practicality of the system.
