Connecting rod is the key part of vehicle engines. It works under high frequency tired load condition. Connecting rod is too hard to forging and processing it. So the world gave high attention to its technology and manufacture method. The fracture splitting technology of connecting rod is producing crack designedly to rough big hole of the holistic forging connecting rod. So it can form initial notch, and achieve the intention of separating the connecting rod noumenon and the cover of connecting rod. It changes the conventional processing method of connecting rod at all. It is a grand renovation to the conventional processing method of connecting rod, achieving new breakthrough in manufacturing connecting rod. It is very important to realize high precision and efficiency, low cost and automatization in producing connecting rod, processing good development potential.The technology of connecting rod splitting decomposition needs three key working procedures: splitting decomposition groove machining, controlled splitting decomposition and bolt assembling. Controlled splitting decomposition of connecting rod is the key pivotal working procedure of the splitting technology, the way of manufacturing influence the power of splitting decomposition. Connecting rod splitting decomposition is a new technology of chipless splitting of connecting rod and connecting rod cap at their junction plane. It has advantages of creative design, economical application and remarkable benefits. The fracture splitting technology is attracting attention as an advanced mechanical method used in connecting rod of engine in the 21th century.Under being imbursed by the outlay of national"863"program, the machine for splitting decomposition is researched, and for satisfying the requirement for the manufacture technology of splitting connecting rod, the new type of CJ1M PLC that OMRON company produced is selected as key control system.The new type fracture splitting machine for connecting rod is composed of mechanical system, hydraulic pressure system, electric system, computer control system lubricating system and so on. Thereinto, the control system is the most important, it take charge of the whole equipment, satisfied the control parameters requirement.With the development of control technology, Human-Machine Interface and PLC technology, is used in every walk of life. This project used Human-Machine Interface and PLC composed control system to protect the machine run in security, improved efficiency.This paper has mainly researched the fracture splitting machine control system, to realize the OMRON PLC control of the machine, choiced Japan's OMRON HMI, in the design of man-machine interface, system guaranteed the friendly nature. The main task and the achievement had been done as follows:1. Through systematic analysis of the structure and the movement of the fracture splitting machine, considered the requirements and other parameters. Preliminary planning the hydraulic system of the fracture splitting machine. Brought forward the design requirements, set down the programs. Explained the principle of hydraulic system, analysed the composition of the whole system. Complete the selection of the control system, determine to use OMRON CJ1M PLC.2. By analyzing the framework and locomotion process of the fracture splitting machine as well as the control request, the paper design the main circuit and the control circuit of the machine, and the collectivity framework of the system hardware, for example, the connection of the I/O unit.3. After studying the movement and the design requirement of fracture splitting machine, and the Programming software CX-P, this paper analyzed the PLC program and defined the I/O of the machine according to the control request of the machine. The signal between the machine control panel and the PLC can be transmitted. This paper programmed the PLC control program of the machine and made the PLC system more accurate to control, achieved the safeguard of the machine.4. This paper has accomplished the design of the control panel, and made the machine have a friendly interface which can be operated more convenient, generalize the communications of PLC and HMI, brief narrate the operation of HMI,5. Solve the problems which the HMI may be present itself. This main work of the paper is an important part of one "863"item's research content named "technics and equipment of fracture splitting connecting rod". During the whole researching and designing, according to the motorial and manipulative request of the machine for fracture splitting, combined characteristic of OMRON PLC, this paper has designed the control system of the machine, layout the HMI operate system ,and the Hydraulic system.This research has designed the first machine for the connecting rod fracture splitting in the country and filled up the blank of the country. This research makes the foundation for improving the quality of the splitting connecting rod. And this technology is important for improving the motor industry in our country and impelling the industrialization course of the connecting rod manufacture technology.
