The technology of connecting rod splitting and breaking is a noval processes in the manufacturing field of automobile engine connecting rod.Compared with the conventional methods,connecting rod splitting and breaking has significant advantages.Not only reduces the connecting rod machining process and equipment investment,saves energy,thus enormously reducing the total output cost.At present,there is a growing number of enterprises using fracture processing technology in China,and the equipment was initially mainly depends on imports.Now the equipment produced by Jilin University has taken up a large market share.But the import equipment is expensive and the maintenance cost is high.The domestic equipment to imitate the early German products is still to be improved in the cost,maintenance and energy consumption.Therefore,it will be of great significance to develop a new generation of domestic connecting rod splitting and breaking equipment.The research goal of this project is the development of a new generation of connecting rod breaking and breaking machine tool in Guangdong University of Technology,mainly including the design of mechanical structure,hydraulic transmission system and control system.The requirements of the connecting rod splitting and breaking,and the purpose of easy maintenance can be achieved with the most concise mechanical structure,the lowest energy consumption.In this paper,in view of the problem that the single cylinder locking mechanism of the first generation fracture machine of the first generation of the project leads to the uneven force between the ends of the connecting rod end cover,an auxiliary cylinder is added and a new locking structure of the connecting rod end cover is redesigned.In addition,the severe impact between the jig of machine tool and the wedge of the pull rod leads to the failure of the key parts,and the expansion structure is changed to effectively improve the service life of the key parts.Aiming at the problems of excessive power,overheating and serious heat,the hydraulic transmission system is redesigned and improved.The increase of proportional control valve ensures the size and speed of the breaking force of the main cylinder while reducing the rigid impact of breaking.In view of the unstable operation of the machine tool control system and the overcomplexity of the man-machine interface,the design is carried out again.The interface can easily realize the functions of process parameters setting,real-time monitoring,automatic running,fault alarm and so on.Finally,the whole machine was debugged,and the test of connecting rod splitting and breaking was carried out.The feasibility of the machine tool was verified by the good quality of the connecting rod fracture machining.The test results show that the performance of the new generation fracture machine has been improved,the operation of the machine tool is stable,the operation is convenient,the degree of automation is high,the orientation of the crack is improved,the amount of deformation is reduced,and the quality of the drop is also decreased.Through the test and the process experiments,it is found that the optimal processing parameters are 200~300 ?m,the pressure of the hydraulic system is set to 9~13MPa,and the flow parameters of the oil pump are set to 30000~32000(90~95L/Min).
