Firstly, basing on analyzing the forces on a pick, this thesis sets up the random load models of coal formation, in which there are lots of parcels and several rock seams. Secondly, through simulation, gets the changing law of load and power while the cutting machine cuts different objects. Finally, the optimization model is established, which takes synthetical economic benefit of coal production as total target function, and takes cutting dust quantity,specific density consumption,load fluctuation and production efficiency of roadheader as subobject target function, and then regards structural parameters and moving parameters of cutting head which have a strong influence on four target functions described above as design variable, and fixes on constrained condition according to working conditions and practical experience of cutting mechanism, and uses genetic algorithm in toolbox of Matlab 7.01 to optimize structural parameters and moving parameters of cutting head for different cutting objects.Through analysis, we can get a outcome that while roadheader is working, corresponding machine should be chosen according to different media, and in this way, waste and deficiency of resources can be avoided, so ensures that coal enterprises can obtain the most economic benefit.
