Study On The City Ecological Construction Of Wu Xi City

The paper presents the necessarily to construct Wuxi as an eco-city, and points out although the economy of Wuxi has entered a new stage of rapid growth, it is facing the development "bottleneck" in ecological environment. With the process of urbanization, the balance between city and nature is broken, the capacity of ecosystems supporting city's action is weakened, and sustainable development meets serious trouble. In Wuxi, resources of land and clean water are very lack, there is terrible pollution in industry and agriculture, the status in ecological environment is very weak.Eco-industry, eco-culture and eco-environment are most important factors in construction of eco-city. The goal is to build the pattern of develop circular economy, resources economy, knowledge economy, to speed up the progress in society and to achieve the harmony of economic and environmental benefits.In this paper the structure frame and strategic position of ecological Wuxi is discussed. Index system of eco-city is constructed, and ecological function of city is planned. Specially, the influences on eco-city from water ecosystem, air pollution, solid waste and noise are investigated. The paper also develops the ideas and schemes of planning ecological agriculture, industry and living environment of Hume being. Eventually, the implementation and management system is given to ensure the performance of constructing Wuxi as an eco-city.
