Seven typical flue gas desulfurization(FGD) technologies for coal-fired power plant, which are selected among existing FGD technologies are introduced particularly. The seven typical FGD technologies are limestone/lime-gypsum wet FGD, simplified wet FGD, rotary atomizing and desiccating FGD, limestone injection into the furnace and activation of calcium oxide(LIFAC) FGD, circulating fluidized bed(CFB) FGD, charged dry sorbent injection(CDSI) FGD and electron beam FGD. Process mechanism, technology and economy characteristics of these seven typical FGD technologies are analysed. The key parameters and the important factors which have great effects on the desulfurization efficiency are discussed. Merits and disadvantages of the seven typical FGD technologies are concluded comprehensively.Because of some fuzzy factors in the evaluation of FGD technology which cann't be described accurately by maths formula, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluate the FGD technology. Based on the capacity of the electric generation unit, they are divided into three levels and evaluated individually. When the subjection values of different target are obtained according to subjection function, colligation index of every FGD technology is gained by using three different fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods which based on all of its target values. According to the rule of maximum membership value, the best FGD technology is adopted under the special condition. The result proves CFB-FGD is adapted to the middling and the small unit while Limestone-gypsum wet FGD is adapted to the big unit under the normal condition. The result also proves that this mothod has the better precision and can be used to choose FGD. In order to evaluate easily and quickly, this method is programmed using Visual Basic which has good interface. After inputting the appropriate parameters, the precision results could be obtained, which guide the user to choose the best economical and banausic FGD technology under the special condition.A polit scale limestone-gypsum wet FGD facility is designed for Nanjing Institute of Technology. The important parameters which have the great influence on the desulfurization technics are analysed and discussed. The key parameters'computation coure is listed. The process of the design is introduced. All these works can offer referrence to the design of FGD of coal-fired power plant.
