Automobile industry has been ranked in the support industries of national economy by all the developed countries in the world, so has been done in our country. In our country, rapid development of automobile industry and rapid update of new automobile model provide automotive die with huge market, and bring forward higher request to the die corporation at the same time. Panel die which is the mostly technics equipment of auto-body has direct restrict effect on the quality of automotive productions and development of new model. Further more, 90 percent of automotive panel are formed by stamping. So rapid numerical simulation design of stamping die is very important for quickening the speed of die design, improving the quality of die design, shortening the circle of die debugging and manufacture, reducing the cost of die.Computer assistance engineering(CAE) is one kind of rapid development computation technology. It is the software that realizes important project and the industry product analysis, but also important for simulation and optimization design. It is the tool and the method that supports engineer and scientist to do some research on the product's innovation. The CAE software is the one that combines with the computation mechanics, the computational mathematics, the engineering science, the project management science and the modern computer science. It is the product which is comprehensive and knowledgeable intensive. After several dozens years development, in the automobile, the ae噲ospace, th噥ships, th噥electron, the civil engineering and material it has obtained the successful application.The噃 AE technology has already applied in the international major industry's production. At present, the CAE application is seldom used in Chinese Manufacture Enterprise. Using the CAE technology, can strengthen the ability for industry's design, reduces the time of product development cycle, raised the design quality and the optimized product flow, reduces the product development and the maintenance cost. At present, the international famous CAE software is Autoform, Pam-stamp, Hyperworks, DYNA_FORM.These softwares have all developed the die_face module, this module has some functions such as hole repairing, the production craft supplement as well as the automatic determination stamping direction. Regarding the common automotive panels, carries on the die design as well as the forming analysis with the CAE software, needs the time is short, the cost is low, but with the traditional method, the cycle is long, the consumption is much more. Obviously, through the CAE software carry on the mold design is the tendency which will develop.The stamping direction is not only the first step but also the key step for designing the die about automotive panels, in the traditional die design, the stamping direction mainly depends on the designer's experience. But today CAD/CAM has already widespread applied in the automotive panel's design. ACIS not only has the formidable alternately function, but also provided the re-development function, the user has been possible to act according to own actual situation to develop some useful tools. People can use the computer to realize the automatic production about stamping direction through the programming. The stamping direction is very important for the structure and the quality of die, so we must choose the better one before stamping.Stamping direction is one of the important parameters in product of automobile panel. Determinate stamping direction correctly not only simplifies the designing and manufacturing after it, but also is very useful to improve quality, rate of finished product and reduce shaping difficulty of drawing parts.This paper aims at the problems existing in determinate stamping direction and the requirement of development in automobile industry, uses ACIS as development flat roof, based on the method of the maximum projected area and the average normal to develop special modular for determinate stamping direction in order to realize optimization of stamping direction automatically in the process of designing automobile panel.During the realization of optimization process, this paper selects genetic algorithms. It imitates the evolution of the creatures of nature, by inheriting, mutating and crossing to improve the capability of the members of next generation step by step, and gets the perfect answer in the end. The author determinates the parameters needed according to practice and programs for every part. During calculating, this method uses multi-points searching technique and probability searching technique, so the calculating efficiency is high.In order to improve the design quality of die surface and shorten the design circle of die surface, stamping Die-face which integrates CAD of die surface into CAE circumstance can implement die surface CAD connected with CAE without sew. This work not only does good exploration to the design mode of die in future, but also applies powerful support for improving the competition of die corporations. In this paper there are some research on the repairing of the inside hole.Using ACIS as development flat roof and taking visual c++ as the editor, has realized the stamping direction automatic production through the procedure, as well as the inside hole repairing.Using some examples to test these methods, the results are appropriate.
