With the quick development of industrialisation and urbanization, the output of Municipal Solid Wastes (MSW) increase gradually. The traditional disposal technology, such as landfilling, composting and combusting, could not satisify the severe requirement for environmental protection. Meanwhile the energy ultilization percent of traditional disposal technology is low and MSW could not be disposed completely. The NSP incinerate technology is the developing orientation of the MSW disposal technology, which could dispose MSW completely, depress invironmental pollution efficiently and increase the ultilization percent of energy. In this paper, the present condition of MSW in China and the development of MSW disposal technology around the world are reviewed. On this basis, the possibility of utilizing cement dry process kiln for MSW disposal is analysied. By investigating the effect of MSW combustion on the cament calcining system, the performance of clinker and cement, and the entironment, the suitable quantity of MSW disposing with new dry process cement kiln. It is concluded that disposing MSW harmelessly, decremently and resourcely could be achieved by utilizing new dry process cement kiln. In case of the situation, that the rate of the cement clinker keep constant, and the caloric value of MSW is 5000kJ/kg, about 1000t MSW could be deposed per day by the dry process product line with the capacity of 5000t/d cement clinker, 5 ×10~9KJ energy could be utilized, and 170.9 ton standard coal could be saved every day. If it is on operation for 30 days a tear, 170.9 ton standard coal could be economized. It has a considerable benefits of economy and social value. The result shows that: When deposing MSW with incineration technology of new dry process cement kiln, the heavy metal component inside MSW could be solidified in the cement clinker, and have less influence on environment and the quality of cement clinker.
