In recent years, L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride is a rise of elements in the foreign health products. Based on its application, it preserves the advantages of L-glutamine and overcomes some shortcomings, it is a promising pro-drug.Based on L-glutamine as raw materials, the paper explored the synthesis of L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride of two routes: Technology one is the synthesis of L-glutamine ethyl sulfate from L-glutamine, then use metathesis into L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride. And choice optimum process by orthogonal test. Second, L-glutamine is made into L-glutamine hydrochloride, then synthesis of L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride. Study of optimization of the process conditions, filtrate catalyst, method for the separation of products, and the products were characterized by IR and HPLC.The results show: L-glutamine is made into L-glutamine hydrochloride at first, then, use concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst to synthesize L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride is a better process of this study line. Optimizing process parameters: the dosage of L-Glutamine hydrochloride is 5g, concentrated sulfuric acid is 20ml, the reaction temperature is 65℃, and the reaction time is 5 hours, the yield of 81.2%. The results of this paper developed a valuable product in the downstream for L-glutamine, laying the foundation for future industrialization of L-glutamine ethylester hydrochloride .
