In the near years, erosion and degradation of the coast are common phenomena in the world, on the background of global changes and artificial effect. In China, it is not sanguinity that the eubiosis of the coast is interferenced by mined. The result of which change of the climate; erosion of the coast; degradation of the environmental quality index and regression of the wet land in the coast threatens the economic entity and life of people living on the coast .Therefore, a great part of coastal mining sites are restored critically. There is one comparison on the two comparative forests which are in the coastal mining site near by the sea in the Bao-Ye working zone in the wood farm in the east-northern of Hainan Island. The vegetation was restored by using Casuarina equisetifolia on the mining site in the east coast of Hainan Island. In this article, a comparative study was conducted on the treatment forest with withered watermelon vines and rare earth fertilizer and the blank forest without any treatment after 3 years of vegetation period. The contents are proceeded that: (1)the growth index of the treatment forest and the blank forest; (2)the concentrations of nutrient elements N, P and K in different compartments of the treatment forest and the blank forest; (3)the distribution patterns of nutrients in both forests; (4)the dynamics patterns of nutrients in the two forests. (5)the concentrations of elements C in both forests. The results showed that:(1)the growth index (height, diameter beast height and basil diameter ) of the treatment forest were all significantly greater than those of the blank forest; (2)the concentrations of nutrient elements N, P and K in different compartments were all higher than those in the blank forest; (3)the distribution patterns of nutrients in both forests were as: needle> branch> root> soil; (4)there was similar dynamics patterns of nutrients in the two forests. The vegetation restoration status in the treatment forest was batter than that in the blank forest; (5)the concentrations of elements C of treatment forest were greater than those of the blank forest. Therefore, it is better of the way restored for the treatment forest than which of the blank forest. In a word, it will be received better effect by management to this kind of site type.
