| Water environment of coastal oceans of Jiangsu Province deteriorates in the recent years, protection of which becomes more and more urgent. While it is essential determine the pollution flux into ocean, it is more critical to determine the response of the water environment to pollution.In this paper, both of them were systematically studied. The study was carried out along with the task of "Water environment capacity and pollution control of coastal ocean of Jiangsu Province" .First of all status quo of the coastal ocean environment quality was investigated, including economics development, hydrology, water quality, pollution sources, and protection objects etc al. Then coastal ocean environment quality was assessed and trend analysis was done.Calculation method selected, each of the pollutions flux into ocean was calculated respectively, both land oriented and ocean oriented, in terms of contamination carried in main rivers into ocean, leaks out of ships, docks and harbors. Main sources were determined afterward based on the calculated results.After the establishment of the two dimensional shallow ocean water quantity - quality mode, dynamic changes of the pollutions within the studied area, the Haozhi Harbor and the Radical Shoal, were studied systematically. And finally the responding relationship between pollution flux and coastal water environment was educed, which could be the theoretical basis for pollution control planning. |
