Study On Eco-city Building In Small And Medium-sized Cities With Medium-developed

As a future model of the perfect city, Eco-city not only offers options to urban problems, but also it provides a viable means of achieving the sustainable development goals, so it received widespread attention. At present, many cities in China have started ecological planning to build an Eco-city. The theory of eco-city has been developed for some time, and Chinese Government had published a series of related policies in 2003. The purpose of this paper is studying the method and the main content to build an ecological city in small and medium-sized cities with medium-developed, based on the specific ecological city planning.This thesis was completed based on the "Eco-Rugao County Planning" with the author as the main members. Paper is divided into seven parts. The first part is introduction including the background of thesis, the general situation of the Eco-city research at home and abroad, and the meaning and content of the research. The second part is the Eco-city theory. Firstly it analyzes the concept and function and features of the urban ecosystem, and then describes features of Eco-city, and brings forward the main content and line of building Eco-city. Section III analysis the typical urban information of medium-developed small and medium-sized cities in China, and sums up the characteristics of the medium-developed small and medium-sized cities in the process of construction .Part IV lists the ecological foundational data for the building of the county of Rugao, and gives the indicator system of the evaluation of sustainable development of urban eco-system adapted to medium-developed small and medium-sized cities, and research the sustainable development trend of Rugao, and sums up the ecological urban development position of Rugao, and by contraposing the indicator system of eco-city planning, it analysis the reach ability of indicators. According to evaluate the ecological sensitivity and the importance of ecological services of Rugao, Part V divides Rugao into four ecological functional zones including the urban and suburban sensitive ecological areas, the east agro-ecological areas, the western agro-ecological areas and the wetland ecological areas, and given all the functional zones of the direction and content of industry construction. Part VI gives the Rugao County building measures and steps for the industrial system, the system of natural resources and environment, the system of social development and urban construction, the system of security. There is the seventh part of its summary, and it outlines the main conclusions of theses studies and the expectation of foreground.
