There are a lot of low permeability reservoirs in the world.Under the limit of economic recovery technology,much of them are untouched.Also the low permeability reservoirs are one of the potential resources in our country and can play more and more important role in the stability production of crude oil.Yao Yingtai oil field in Jilin province is one of them.By analysis of the development situation of Yao Yingtai oil field, we find exist contradict and difficulty in the development. That is, physical property is bad and radius of pores and throats is small. Also many nature fractures develop. And the pressure sensitivity is strong. The reservoir develops multilayer, thin bed and interstratified layer, so the tectonic is very complex. The reservoir has the characters of severe inhomogeneity, low reserves abundance and low control level of well pattern. To resolve the above problems, basic theory and experiment study is enhanced firstly. Many advanced experiment methods are established. Those methods concern non-Darcy flow mechanism of low permeability reservoir, water injection gradient, pore character study in development, water damage, word fluid denaturizing, and etc. With those methods, some new cognition is got. Risk evaluation technology of developing low permeability reservoir is presented and by multivariant compare analysis, hydraulic fracturing can be combined with pattern and density of well network firmly and effectively, which makes the development of reservoir base on the present technology level of formation reform. Fundamental research promotes the innovation of relative technology. Recently, the new technology of temporary blocking by steps and fluid loss decrease by control fracture is developed for fractured reservoir. In the reform of multilayer and thin bed reservoir, new technologies of limited entry fracturing, double swivel fracture control and cleanup by energization are applied. We are in the leader situation in the application of full 3D software, fracture material (fracturing fluid and proppant) and real-time monitoring technology. Those technologies have improved modern fracturing technology lever largely.
