With the development of science and technology, the require to products'miniaturization and precision is more and more. According to present situation, the Micro-EDM(Electron Discharge Machining) play an important part in micro machining field because of its easy fabrication of electrode, small force between electrode and work piece and good controllability.After the research to the principle and servo system of Micro-EDM, the macro-micro composite servo system is proposed. The core of the system is a SCM controlled by PC. The step motor is adopted in the macro servo system and the mechanism base on piezoelectric ceramic is used in the micro servo system.The mechanical part and electric part of macro-micro composite servo system is designed. And the program which can make the electrode move vibrantly is accomplished. The FEM(Finite Element Method) software ANSYS is used to do the structural analysis for the micro servo mechanism. By this method the dimension of the mechanism is decided and higher frequency response and larger range can be gotten.On the basis of a great lot literatures about the discharge condition detection methods, the FNN(fuzzy neural net) base on multi-sensor information fusion technology is used to syncretize the voltage data and current data and identify the type of discharge condition.An interface on PC is compiled with Visual C++. Using the designed machine tool, some trials are done. The micro electrode and the micro hole with 30μm diameter can be get.
