This paper does comprehensive searches renewedly, based on the research of theoriginal automatic test and evaluation system of raw silk cohesion. At the same time, theoriginal system is used to do a great deal of experiments, so as to find the deficiencies.Accordingly, the hardware conformation and software design of the system are bothimproved effectively. In the aspect of hardware conformation, the main improved parts arethe abrasion mechanism to deliver the raw silk, the clip jaws design of Model SD-SizeTester and the placement of the tester. In the aspect of software design, there are all-roundimprovements from rewriting of the whole program to design of the front panel.Consequently, the automatic test and evaluation system of raw silk cohesion is furtherconsummated. The improved system is utilized to do repeated experiments to demonstratethe conclusions of original system and the correlative conclusion is discussed and analyzed.Meanwhile, the parameter K, that is, the slope which comes from linear fitting withdiameter increment and abrasion circle, is introduced to evaluate the cohesion. Through theanalyses of mass of experiments, the relation between K and cohesion accords with that theworse the cohesion is, the bigger K is, and the better the cohesion is, the smaller K is.Furthermore, a high-effective image acquisition system is established and utilized todiscuss microcosmic surface appearance of several kinds of representative abrasionknife-edges, contrast with each other, and analyze the distribution of nicks and cause offormation of the abrasion knives. At the same time, the unevenness of abrasion knife isanalyzed, that is found in the course of image acquisition. And referring to the way of knifemending which was put forward by Zhejiang Commodity Inspection and Testing Bureau, image acquisition system is applied to the mending of abrasion knife for the first time, andnicer effect is acquired.
