| Along with the development of micro-electronics technology and microcomputer technology, CNC engraving and milling machine is used more widely. This paper makes an overview on current situation of CNC engraving and milling machine. Based on the situation, the paper puts forward the background and significance of it, and spreads the research work.In this paper, author introduces an embedded CNC system developed for engraving and milling machine. The emphasis of the paper is the design and development of CNC system's hardware and software, and look-ahead control method.Firstly, hardware experiment platform is developed. LPC2136, is used as core device in this CNC system, communicates with PC by means of serial port. Design and develop the input/output interface circuit. Wire and set parameters for servo system.Secondly, whole software system is researched. The CNC software system is composed of such modules as interpreting, velocity planning, acceleration/deceleration control and interpolation.At last, on this issue of frequent acceleration/deceleration, low processing efficiency, poor machining accuracy by small lines in high-speed machining, this paper presents the method of using feedrate linking and feedrate superposition. The simulation experiment result demonstrates that the productivity of machining using the method can be improved dramatically. |
