Die Casting Machine is important technique equipment in Die Casting which has a direct effect on the quality and efficiency of productions. In China, a rapidly growing of automobile industry has been promoting the die casting industry in recent years. The large flow and high response proportional throttle valve is one of the most important content in the high performance Die Casting Machine. This thesis elaborates the design, simulation and experiment of the large flow and high response proportional throttle valve.A new structure design of large flow and high response proportional throttle valve is presented through analyzing the request on throttle valve's performance and referencing to foreign components of the existing research result. The solution's structure has three stages, the pilot stage is four-slide-valve which is driven by proportional electro-magnet, the amplifier stage is servo cylinder, and the main stage is cartridge valve. Displacement-force feedback is used between pilot stage and amplifier stage, while rapid tracking control is used between amplifier stage and the main stage. The influence factor of the pilot stage's step response performance is analyzed, simulation and experimental analysis of proportional electro-magnet's step response performance in the control of proportional control amplifier is done in order to meet the design designing requirements.This thesis elaborates the proportional throttle valve's principle by analysis of the valve's structure, hydraulic half-bridge principle and stage feedback. Then build the valve's mathematical model, analysis the valve's dynamic performances by use of AMESim and discuss the influences of relative parameters. Each stage's parameters are matched and optimized on the basis of simulation. The detailed structural design is finished and the prototype of the large flow and high response proportional throttle valve has been developed.The test scheme is designed with large transient flow rate supplied by accumulator and the transient flow rate measured by zero load servo-cylinder. The large flow and high response proportional throttle valve's performances are tested with the test bed. The test result shows that the valve's output flow is proportionally adjustable and its step response performance has achieved the design requirement.
