Research And Development On The Casting Process CAD System Based On AutoCAD 2005

With the development of computer application technique, the application field of computer is becoming larger and larger. In the region of casting production, computer aided process design and drawing(casting process CAD) and simulation of solidification,stress,structure etc. (casting process CAE) have made high progress. Usually casting process is complex and has so much standards, those make many difficulties to development of casting process CAD software. Now in our country the effort to research on this field is very little, and the progress is very slow, it doesn't meet utility standard, the efficiency of process design is still very low. So this paper is to overcome those problems.After analyzing the actuality and trend about casting process CAD, survey work is carried out and rich materials are obtained. According to the present situation and actual flow of casting process design, this paper selects AutoCAD 2005 as supporting platform, and develops a casting process CAD system by combing MFC with ObjectARX 2005.This paper introduces development process of ARX application based on AutoCAD R14 and AutoCAD 2005, and researches the critical techniques in the development process, such as menu development, make and use slide drawing library, define layer,color,line type and line type scale, initializing drawing setting and deriving own class etc..The process design in casting has been introduced in the region of casting production in the paper, it usually contains designs and drawings of parting surface,draft,core,casting system,riser and much process symbols of casting. This paper summarizes much process data, researches and develops casting process CAD system. The system can simplify,quicken design and drawing of casting process, it is convenient and can availably advance efficiency of process design and drawing. It contacts with facts tightly in the development process and has wide application foreground.
