Human lives on nature resources. Only scientific and proper evaluation of nature resources can lead to a right decision for the utilization of nature resources and government plans. In the past, most nature resources evaluations are qualitative research, lack of stricter and more accurate comprehensive evaluation. Actually, a lot of evaluations on resources are based on nature resources abundance, so it's very important to evaluate nature resources abundance objectively. On the reference of related research findings both at home and abroad, definitions of nature resources abundance, nature resources abundance in a province and provincial nature resources abundance will be made. Based on these definitions, the object and range of this study will be cleared, which is the quantity of climate resources, energy resources, mineral resources, land resources and water resources, including 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Also, concentration resources will be evaluated by absolute abundance and dispersion resources will be evaluated by relative abundance.A scientific index system for provincial nature resources abundance will be set up. The dimensionless method will be used to deal with data to get all the nature resources comparable and calculably. Entropy weights model is suitable for the situation that the index attribute weights are unknown and attribute values are available. It will be introduced to reduce the influence of subjective factors.Based on analysis results of each kind of nature resources, the author will find that the climate resources abundance has little influence on the evaluation result, so the original index system will be modified. There will be only four kinds of resources in the index system, which are energy resources, mineral resources, land resources and water resources. The final result of evaluation of provincial nature resources abundance will indicate differences between provinces and find out the strengths and weaknesses of each province. At last, all the provinces will be classified into higher reach, middle reach and lower reach based on the comprehensive abundance of nature resources, which can provide valuable instruction for the utilization of nature resources for provinces.
