In recent years, with China's rapid economic development, our country' s various rivers all arrived the more or less pollution. But the domestic wastewater gradually replacing the industrial wastewater become the world's main sources of water pollution The domestic wastewater recycling can not only reduce pollution, but also may be the city reliable stable second water source, meanwhile alleviating the situation of shortage of water resources, and it is the especially vital significance to our north cities.The removal rate of rate resolvable organics and NH3-N in micro-polluted source water by conventional treatment method is rather low, and chlorination can form organic halide which will do harm to person .Biological aerated filter(BAF)has many advantages, such as small volume, little covering earth and hydraulic retention time(HRT),high treatment efficiency and effluent water quality, low investment and running cost etc and has been used in Micro-polluted source water recently.Zeolite-lava BAF was used in the test of treatment of domestic wastewater which mainly polluted by ammonia nitrogen and chemical oxygen demand. The results show that:Zeolite-lava biological aerated filter has good results in disposing wastewater. When the gas/water ratio is 2:1, hydraulic retention time is 20 min, the water temperature is among 16-22℃, the average removal rate of NH3-N,CODcr,turbidity phosphorus are 95.5%,82.2%,97.4%,22.3%, and in this terms, compared to the results of using one-layer medium BAF, the handle results of zeolite-lava BAF are better.
