In this thesis, the nine complexes, [Ni(B2IG)(H2O)2]NO3·CH3OH 1, [Ni3(B2IG)2 (H2O)8(CH3O)2](SO4)2·(H2O)2 2, [Co(B2IG)Cl]3, [Co(Co(B2IG)Cl)6](NO3)6·(CH3-N)6 4, [Cu(B2IG)Cl]2·HNO3·C4H10O 5, ([Cu(B2IG)]NO3)n 6, [Cu3(B2IG)2Cl2] 7, [Cu2(B2IA)2]Na(NO3)3·(H2O)2] 8 and [Cu2(B2IA)2](HSO4)2·(H2O)6 9 (B2IG = N,N-Bis(2-(1-methylimidazolyl)methul)methyl)glycine, B2IA = N,N-Bis(2-(1-meth-ylimidazolyl)methul)methyl)-β-alanine), have been synthesized, and characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), electron spray mass spectrometry (ESMS), cyclic voltam-metry (CV), ultraviolet spectrum (UV), X-single crystal diffraction and variable temperature susceptibility, respectively. The results of single-crystal analysis show that the metal atom (Ni(Ⅱ) for 1 and 2, Co(Ⅱ) for 3, and Cu(Ⅱ) for 5)in the complexes 1, 2, 3 and 5, is co-ordinated by three N atoms and one O atom from the ligand B2IG, are mononuclear coordination compounds; whereas 4, 6, 7 are polynuclear coordination compounds. In complex 4 and 7, the centre metal atom is coordinated by six and two oxygen atoms from B2IG ligand, which form a mononuclear unit, resulted in forming seven and three nuclear complexes, respectively. For the complex 6, a mononuclear unit is bridged each other by the one oxegen atom of the ligand B2IA, formed a one-dimensional chain. For the 8 and 9, the each Cu of two Cu atoms is co-ordinated with three N atoms, one O atom from one ligand B2IA and one O atom from another ligand B2IA, are binuclear coordination compounds, in which two Cu atoms are bridged by two oxygen atoms from two ligand B2IA.The results of variable temperature susceptibility indicate that complex 1, 4 and 5 appear antiferromagnetic property in temperature from 2 to 300 K, following the Curie-Weiss law with a Weiss constant 0 -1.67, -1.48 and -0.53K, respectively. Whereas 2, 3, 6, 8, 9 behave ferromagnetic property in the same temperature scope. Complex 7 behaviors as an alterable magnetic material, in which the antiferromag-netic property will change into ferromagnetic one when the temperature is raising to about 100 k from 300 K. The cyclic voltammetry and electron spray mass spectro-metry tell us that a mononuclear coordination compounds and it's dimer are the main forms for the polynuclear coordination compounds in solution, while the Cu coordination compounds have stabler electrochemical properties relatively. The UV observations to a phosphate ester hydrolysis study which is catalysed by the model compound show that the apparent rate constant of hydrolysising BNPP have inncreased about 30 timeis than which hydrolysis under natural conditions, so the complex 8 has a relatively good catalytic property.
