Tension control system for gravure press is the special follower system that an input changes along with a certain attenuation rule. Tension control is the core for the whole machine, only the constant tension can make the color register at accurate control and reduce the waste, so we should have the perfect tension control system in order to ensure the product quality and efficiency. Therefore, it has the theoretic and actual meanings to study on the rules of tension change and factors to affect tension.In this subject, we only study on the factors that affect tension in the unwinding mechanism. The main study for the subject:(1) Study on the factors that affect tension in unwinding mechanism. Analyze the relationship between tension and unwinding diameter; the relationship between tension and eccentricity roll; and how the turning radius of roll to influence tension; how the splicing course to influence tension and how the cutting course to affect tension.(2) Improve the unwinding mechanism. Analyze how the disc-type unwinder and turret-type unwinder to affect tension; improve the unwinding mechanism because eccentricity brings tension waves and the radius size of roll rotation influences tension; the mechanism after improvement has got the nice result.(3) Improve the splicing course. Change the traditional splicing method which the web edge tries to find cutter to the better method which the cutter tries to find web edge in order to improve the success of web splice and reduce the waste; reduce the tension wave which is brought by the pressure roller down; make the web to web splice at the same speed and reduce the splicing waste; reduce the tension change which is brought by the cutter impact in order to make the cutting edge tidy.The thesis proceeds from the productive practice to study the factors that influence tension in unwinding mechanism for providing the powerful theoretic support to improve the unwinding mechanism. Improved unwinding mechanism has been used in some of the High-speed Gravure Presses with the excellent economic and social benefits and applied for the patent.Rewind/Unwind mechanism for Rotogravure Press and Patent No. ZL200620136432.6.
