The integrated wastewater from tanneries is complicated and not easily biodegradable including high concentration of organic substances and sulfides,so it is one of the difficulties in the field of industrial wastewater treatment. That has influenced development of leather-producing industry and has been urgent affair at the present time.Cyclic Activated Sludge System is a kind of improvement on SBR. It has the merits of simple process, small area, easy control, flexible operation ,easy to adapt the water quantitative and water quality, resisting mud expanision, removal of nitrogen and removal phosphorus simultaneous etc. In now days, CASS have applied extensively in various industrial wastewater and city sewage.The central contant of this paper is Cyclic Activated Sludge System, hydrolyze-acidification and Low temperature wastewater treatment, and study intermedium is wastewater treatment project of the Zhao Yuan leather-producting industrial pack in DaQing, which used hydrolyze-acidification + CASS combinatorial technics.Base on project building process, practical operation and operative study, we get a lot of significative data and applied experience,which establish a foundation for spead of this combinatorial technics to treat leather-producing wastewater.More than that,according to characteristic of the low temperature wastewater in the north area of our country in winter,this paper also analyse the predominance and problem to use this hydrolyze-acidification + CASS combinatorial technics in the low temperature condition,which offer some effective parameters and gist for project design.In present society, water quality becoming more and more complex, hydrolyze-acidification + CASS is a competitive and promising biological combinatorial technics which would play a more and more important part in the wastewater treatment field of our country in future.
