With the development of people's lives, they demand higher quality for the environment and become more and more sensitive to the issue of odor. While odor pollution is growing as modern industrialization and urbanization process in the same time, in particular the development of sewage treatment field. So the odor treatment study has become an urgent subject. The main constituent of the odor is NH3, H2S and the methyl mercaptan, the organic gas and so on in sludge dewatering shop in sewage treatment plant. As the biological method has the merits which the equipment is simple, the energy consumption is low, the possibility of producing new pollutes to be small and so on, the method has become mainstream of odors preventing and application research in the domestic and foreign. But domestic studies generally only are against the laboratory or model scale, because the factors of bordor effect, the odor source density is not high relatively and the odor is mad the large amount of space occupied and the environment condition is complex and so on, show the very large deviation in project enlargement application when applies the model study achievement to the actual project. And the report of full-scale experiment of odor treatment in the sewage treatment plant is very few. This experiment is precisely in view of this kind of present situation, carring on the full-scale experiment to treatment the odor of NH3 and H2S by bio-filter. We had mainly carried on the below research work:1. Combining with subject study team preliminary model study achievement, we carried on the choice of medium, the processing and the filling and so on, and carried on film formation and acclimating about bio-filter, and then study about the removal of original odor of the dewatering shop after the success of acclimation;2. Separately carried on full-scale experiment to remove of NH3 and H2S with the bio-filter alone;3. Carried on full-scale experiment to remove of NH3 and H2S mixture odor and analysed the energy consumption.The following main conclusions have been obtained:1. Taken the charcoal, the bark, the log, dig the flowered, the sawdust and the shell mixture as the medium of the bio-filter, taken actived sludge from the A2/O tank in sewage treatment plant as the original microorganism, used the method of direct film formation and acclimation,and reached to ideal goal after 26 days.Then, the study to treatment of original odor of the sludge dewatering shop to indicate that, the bio-filter shares good removal effect to NH3, H2S and the methyl mercaptan. The removal of NH3 can reach to 83.14%, average removal is 56.37%; The removal of H2S is higher, can reach to 100%, average removal is 99.83%; The removal of the methyl mercaptan can reach to 61.22%, average removal is 39.83%.2. The results of removal alone NH3 with bio-filter as follows, When Q=1000m3/h (resident time t=16.2s) , the inlet concentration is between 0.127 and 16.655mg/m3, the outlet concentration is become between 0.082 and 0.849mg/m3, and lower than national level of discharge standard value of 1.0mg/m3. The average removal reach to 95.05%, the highest removal can reach to 99.59%. The bio-filter's average removal rate (remove load of volume) is 1.831g/(m3filter·h), the highest can reach to 3.610g/(m3filter·h) . When Q=1250m3/h (resident time t=12.96s) , the inlet concentration is between 9.869 and 17.023mg/m3, the outlet density become between 0.296 and 3.095mg/m3. The average removal reach to 85.54%, the highest removal can reach to 93.96%. The bio-filter's average removal rate (remove load of volume) is 3.270g/ (m3filter·h) ; the highest can reach to 3.924g/(m3filter·h) .3. The results of removal alone H2S with bio-filter sesults as follows, When Q=1000m3/h(resident time t=16.2s)and 1250m3/h(resident time t=12.96s), the inlet concentration is between 1.876 and 34.705mg/m3, the removal maintain above 99.92%,the majority removal is 100%, the highest outlet density is 0.017mg/m3, the equal density is 0.001mg/m3, far lower than the national level of discharge standard value 0.03mg/m3.4. The bio-filter own good removal effect about the mixture of NH3 and H2S in the orthogonal experiment study to treatment the two kinds of odor mater. The two factors of Q and Cin may affect the odor removal of bio-filter mainly, then the influence of q to be smaller. We obtained the optimum condition simultaneously as follows, Q equal 1500m3/h, the inlet concentration is of NH3 equal 5 mg/m3, the inlet concentration of H2S equal 30 mg/m3, and spray value equal 30L/min to NH3 , spray value equal 20L/min to H2S.
