Flax wastewater has high COD concentration, high chroma, low biodegradability and some toxicants. Because of this, it would pollute the water and influence people's normal life without being treated well. The traditional biological or physical chemistry treatment process can not make the effluent meet the standard. Thus, it is difficult for us to solve the problem in industrial wastewater treatment. The processes of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton reagent oxidation are low investment, low cost, small land, and simple operating process. It is convenient for biological treatment with having improved the biodegradability of wastewater. The iron of this process is scrap iron or iron paring from machine factory. The activated carbon can be replaced by coke and flue powder. It has advantage of environment and economy. So the significance of it is making use of waste circularly. The principle, characteristic, effect factor and application in wastewater of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton reagent oxidation are studied. The important degree of influence factors is determined by orthogonal experiment and the optimal operating parameters are determined by single factor experiment. The connection and coupling of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton reagent oxidation are tried and the optimal operating parameters are determined. The optimal process is determined by economy analysis. The experiment result of flax wastewater indicates that the optimal operating parameters are as follows:(1) Micro-electrolysis: volume ratio of iron versus carbon is 1, pH value is 3, reaction time is 3 hour, intermittent aeration, and the COD removal efficiency is 30%, ratio of BOD versus COD is from 0.21 to 0.47.(2) Fenton reagent oxidation: pH value is 4.5, reaction time is 60 minutes, the dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 5ml/L, ferrous sulphate is 1500 mg/L, the addition method of hydrogen peroxide is consecutive, and the removal efficiency of COD is 50%. (3)The connection of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton oxidation: the pH value of Micro-electrolysis is 3, reaction time is 3h, the dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 5ml/L, reaction time is 1h, and the COD removal efficiency is 55%, ratio of BOD versus COD is from 0.21 to 0.67.(4)The coupling of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton oxidation: reaction time is 1h,the dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 4ml/L, pH value is 3,and the COD removal efficiency is 60%, ratio of BOD versus COD is from 0.21 to 0.80.The connection of Micro-electrolysis and Fenton oxidation is the best to treat flax wastewater by economy analysis.
