Owing to the crisis of energy sources, the research and development of photoelectric materials has great potential application, TiO2 thin film become the research hotspots for its higher photoelectric conversion efficiency. The photoelectric performance of single TiO2 thin film is not satisfied. Polytungstate has the unique structure, although its absorption peak located in the ultraviolet region, but its rear part band may extend to 350-400nm. Moreover, there are many comparabilities between Polytungstate and TiO2 semiconductor. The Polytungstate particle's surface modification and its own characteristics would make TiO2 thin film electrode have the better light absorptive quality, stability and photoelectric performance.The TiO2 porous thin film electrode which has appropriate crystal and size, high specific surface area and good transmittance was prepared on ITO substrate by Sol-Gel in this paper. And then TiO2-H3PW12O40 composite membrane electrode and TiO2-H4SiW12O40 composite membrane electrode were deposited on the prepared TiO2 porous thin film electrode by electrochemical-deposition. At the same time, they're technical conditions and performance were studied by SEM, four-point probe, spectrophotometer and multimeter.By analysing the structure, morphology and photoelectric performance of TiO2-H3PW12O40 composite membrane electrode and TiO2-H4SiW12O40 composite membrane electrode, the optimum technological conditions of preparing TiO2-H3PW12O40 composite membrane electrode were as follows: 5.0×10-3 mol/L H3PW12O40+ 5.0×10-3mol/L PY + 0.5mol/L H2SO4 mixture solution deposited under constant voltage 1.4V for 60min. The optimum technological conditions of preparing TiO2-H3SiW12O40 composite membrane electrode were as follows: 2.5×10-3 mol/L H3PW12O40+ 5.0×10-3mol/L PY + 0.5mol/L H2SO4 mixture solution deposited under constant voltage 1.6V for 60min.In visible region, the light absorption of composite membrane electrode was significantly enhanced. And then TiO2-Polytungstate photo electrochemical cell with effective area of 1cm2 was assembled to detect its photoelectric performance. The result showed that the short circuit current and open circuit voltage of TiO2-H3PW12O40 composite membrane cell reached 1.02μA/cm2 and 0.65mV. It can be seen that TiO2-Polytungstate composite membrane electrode can be used as electrode material of solar cell for its good photoelectric performance.
