Along with the rapid development of computer technology and deeply study of finite element theory, it is being an important assistant means to simulate metal forming with finite element numerical value simulation in metal plastic forming area on the basis of complement theory study of metal plastic forming. As a result, finite element numerical value simulation will become a universal solution in the engineering area and it will be widely used by engineers.In this thesis, a laconic analysis of the solutions of relative key technique of the application of finite element numerical value simulation in the forging forming area by using the available three-dimensional rigid plastic finite element theory is submited. A deep discussion of the applications of the finite element analysis software Deform3D in forging process at the present time is also presented. The numerical value simulation and analysis of forging process of a pad part, which was manufactured by Zhuzhou auto part Ltd. with no.45 steel, is made in the end..In this thesis, two kinds of finite element analysis simulation of forging process, which include twice rolling forging processes to make billet and once mould forging process to form the finishing part billet, are studied and performed. The load on billet, the geometry shape transformation of billet, relative mechanics characteristic and the wastage of forming energy during its forming period are gained through the whole simulation. In this thesis, it also makes an analysis of the area where flaw trends to emerge during the forming process. Furthermore, a study on how the dimensions of the mould bridge structure impacts the forming process is made. On the basis of the data and analysis acquired above, several rules of mould bridge structure's influences on forming parameters are summarized in the end.Compared with the actual production, the main forming things in the simulation is very similar with that in the actual production. The flow rules of the metal, forming load and the parameters of the mould bridge structure can be used as references to help making technics route, designing and optimizing mould structure and choosing equipments.
