Pattern Design Mode Of Apparel CAD System And Its Application Analysis

In the production of modern apparel industry, apparel CAD is becoming more and more popular and important. However, as the most characteristic and highly applied valuable sub-system in apparel CAD system, pattern design system has not been used deeply in apparel enterprises because of the influence of many factors such as the characters and the present development condition of apparel CAD soft itself, the professional level of pattern designers and the whole industry environment. This thesis is put forward according to such condition.In order to raise the whole application level of pattern design system, this thesis summarizes the pattern design mode of apparel CAD, analyzes the setting of pattern design environment, the drawing of basal point and line, the withdraw of pattern, the measure and check of pattern, the changing of pattern, the adding of shrinkage rate and seam allowance, the naming and saving files by selecting representative apparel CAD of different pattern design mode whose advantages are assessed objectively and shortages are pointed out. Then the suggestions of improvement are also put forward. According to this, by using practical examples, the paper carries on the application analysis to the concrete process and method of apparel CAD on pattern design, summarizes the keys, difficult points and concrete regulations in application. And the conversion problem of the apparel CAD data file is also been analyzed.By analyzing, three pattern design modes are summarized: pattern design by using points, pattern design by using lines, pattern design by using points and lines. No matter what mode, the key of application is setting points exactly and drawing lines reasonably. View from the angle of application analysis and development, pattern design mode of the last two adapt more to the actual need of the apparel enterprises. And having various pattern design modes, designing pattern by marking size, carrying out conversion mutually between system file and standard format file are the inevitable development of the pattern design system.
