Due the low demist efficiency,the Gas-Gas Heater(GGH) in the Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization system is often blocked by the accumulated gypsum slurry scale.An experiment system was built to study the demist character of the mist eliminator.The study demonstrated that the demist efficiency could be improved through the optimization of the parameters of the mist eliminator such as the vane space,the vane style,the flue gas velocity,thus the block of GGH would be alleviated.The study results can provide guidance to the design of the mist eliminator and the flue of the desulphurization system.
