As the world's rapid economic development and China's modernization,especially the construction of infrastructure,the rapid growth of the automotive industry,steel industry has become increasingly important role. At the same time,the steel industry is also accompanied by internal competition more fiercely,and their competition is focused on key technologies.Continuous casting and rolling is a a key technology of improving productivity and reduce production costs in metallurgical industry. In the continuous casting process,the leakage of the steel production process is undoubtedly the most serious accident,it has tremendous impact on quality and production safety. And thus a major study on the contents of this article ----- breakout prediction.Against leakage of the principles and process steel, the author designed neural network and expert system and the methodology used to achieve the best results. In the framework of the research system as a whole, the author compares the neural network expert system in the former, as well as in the previous neural network expert system for the latter two in the overall forecast of the advantages and disadvantages of each program. The overall framework of the structure of the system, the actual programming in the process of doing a number of methods and compared among themselves in a variety of neural network simulation experiment results. Since the systems (including neural network and expert system) has many adjustable parameters, so in the practical application to a production line can also be the future professional and technical personnel from the actual situation in accordance with a further fine-tuning to achieve optimal results.In this paper,we use MATLAB 7.0 (R14) to constract a neural network and expert system and simulation tests. These simulation results powerfully illustrate the reliability of the forecasting model. We use VC + +6.0 to constract the software interface ,and ultimately in the domestic iron and steel enterprises in a production run.
