As an important ecosystem and common service for human beings, wetlands provide habitat for w ildlife and plentiful means of livehood and production as well.In recent years, due to economic development, population growth and urban expansion, the human environment of the interference and destruction of natural wetlands growing, how to prevent the degradation of wetland has becoming the major issue.Taking the Yellow River Basin of Shandong Province as the study cases, the wetland resource of the year 2000 and 2006 in this paper was monitored by using remote sensing technology. The method of spatial overlay and dynamic degrees model analysis is used in dynamic change of wetlands and explored the inherent mechanism in the study area. Finally, combining the actual situation in the region and the results of the analysis, proposed wetland ecological protection and integrated prevention and control measures in order to achieve the wetland resources of regional sustainable development. The results proved:(1) By studying a variety of classification methods and representative compared with the method of MNDWI, found that the use of supervised classification combined with expert classification and the classification of artificial visual interpret method are well targeted to the study area. and is conducive to improve the accuracy of information extraction of wetlands in the study area.(2) According to the classified area changing map and table that comes from classification results, took in the spatial overlay analysis method and dynamic degree model, respectively, in space and time scales of the Yellow River in Shandong wetland resources to analyze the dynamic changes. The results showed that great changes have taken place in the wetlands of the Yellow River Basin in Shandong from 2000 to 2006. The overall area of wetlands and the constructed wetland area has increased, but other types of natural wetlands showed a reduce trend. As a result, with the needs of human social and economic development, the intensity of intervention on wetland resources is growing day by day.(3)Pointed out the main problems of the wetlands development in the study area: natural wetlands reduction, environmental pollution and indiscriminate fishing and hunting. According to the problems, bring forward some protection measures such as to strengthen the construction of wetland protection laws, institutions and nature reserves, to strengthen publicity and education on wetland protection and so on.
