Spherical tank as a petro-chemical industry, one of the most commonly used equipment, the storage material with a flammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive and other characteristics, has been related to the society constitutes a major public safety hazard. Learn from the security point of view, spherical tanks in the strong winds, earthquakes and other harsh natural environment of the structural safety of the significantly more important.In this paper, based on the structural safety of spherical tank design theory, combined with steel spherical tank-related national standards, the structure of the spherical tank design in the safety analysis of the need, as well as the spherical wind, seismic theory, spherical shell structure analysis of the reliability theory elaborate.Secondly, the combination of spherical tank design and manufacture of the relevant national standards, the use of ANSYS finite element analysis software for modeling spherical structure, in view of the complexity of the structure of spherical models, respectively, free meshing and mapped meshing grid on the spherical shell structure, meshing the main pressure structure to enhance the computing accuracy, at the same time to shorten the computing time.Third, based on the structural static analysis and transient kinetics analysis of the theoretical basis, respectively, spherical tanks in the wind, seismic, structural deformation of the displacement, stress, and stress analysis, such as the distribution and structure of spherical stress state of the security check, to understand the structure of spherical pressure of the weak link in pressure for the spherical tank natural disasters and severe weather in the safe operation of environment to provide reliable reference data.Finally, the application of structural reliability analysis and using Monte Carlo methods for high-pressure spherical tank shell structural reliability analysis and evaluation, and derive the spherical shell of various random variables on the sensitivity of the impact of structural reliability, which in the "safety first" based on the principle of providing for the spherical tank design and manufacture the most optimized program.
