Study On The Penetrability Coefficient Of The Coal

The gas permeability coefficient is an important parameter of the prevention and control of gas disaster in coal field. At present, The radial flow method has two problems, that sometimes no formula to the coal permeability or sometimes has two formulas to it. To solve the two problems, a new calculation formula of the coal permeability has been proposed after after analyzing the problems. The formula has solved these problems, It is concluded that a more simple and reasonable formula. It has been done checking calculation. In order use in the field, the correction equation can be used.The K' is the new penetrability coefficient got by Darcy's law. It has the dimension of speed and the definite physical meaning. The value of K' has beentested by SF₆ in the 3207 working face of Wang Po Coal Mine and done thenumerical simulation by CFD, which has been mutual verified. The relationship has been built which between the penetrability coefficient and the gas permeability coefficient. The penetrability coefficient can be tested by the radial flow method which could full use the original equipment.
