Nowadays there are many means to test the wet absorption capability and wet permeability capability.However these traditional means based on the manual work can only test the wet absorption capability and wet permeability capability on their static states.So they have some limitations in the accuracy of data and speed of calculation.When analyzing the wet permeability capability,we have few means to study on it in every minute,especially at the very beginning of the water transmission on the surface of a fabric.This paper used HG-camera and image processing technique to analyze the wet permeability capability for different structure parameters. And the error of the test system was also analyzed.The process of the water transmission and the structure parameter of the fabric were discussed separately.By this research,more effective data was got and less time was spent than traditional means on the study of the fabric wet permeability capability.Because the means is dynamic and has high precise,it can provide a lot of help for the wet permeability capability research.This task can be divided into three parts.Firstly,a lot of work was done to deal with the photo of the fabric by Matlab software.And some useful information was obtained according to the photo taken by the HG-camera.Secondly,the error of the test system was analyzed and the means was contrasted with the traditional ones.Thirdly,the wet permeability capability for different structure parameters was discussed by relation chats.The following results and conclusions were indicated through the research and correlation analysis:(1)Using HG-camera and image processing technique to analyze the wet permeability capability is a good method.It is dynamic and has high precise.It is also easy to copy and save.This means have more advantages than the traditional ones;(2)Using Matlab software to deal with the image of a fabric is a good method.It can more easily and precisely distinguish the wet part from a testing fabric than traditional manual work;(3)When the other parameters are limited,the wet area of ration water on the fabric has a inverse relation with the thickness of a fabric;(4)When the other parameters are limited,the average wet permeability speed of ration water has a inverse relation with the thickness of a fabric; (5)When the other parameters are limited,the wet area of ration water on the fabric has inverse a relation with the compact intensity of a fabric;(6)When the other parameters are limited,the average wet permeability speed of ration water has a inverse relation with the compact intensity of a fabric;(7)When the other parameters are limited,there is the most appreciable distinction between the different directions of wet permeability capability for the satin fabric;(8)When the other conditions are limited,the maximum wet permeability speed of ration water is in direct proportion to the square root of the fabric porosity.
